New feature from BeneTrac simplifies COBRA administration and eligibility

 

San Diego, CA, January 21, 2005 - Hawthorne Benefit Technologies, Inc., also known as BeneTrac, a provider of powerful, web-based electronic enrollment and employee benefits administration software, today announced its new COBRA Factory. The new feature, which supports the company's existing BeneTrac software, gives HR managers and benefits administrators powerful tools to track and manage critical steps throughout the COBRA process, from initial notification to election notices and billing of continuants.

COBRA Factory simplifies the management of extending insurance benefits with an easy point-and-click interface that enables managers to print and track initial notifications, election notices, COBRA termination notices and premium notices for billing continuants. Each notice is automatically customized with employee and company-specific information, including what the employee initially elected and can now elect.

HR and/or the administrator can easily track, in real-time, who has received which notices, determine at what stage individuals are in the process and when they may be terminated from COBRA based on initial qualifications, which COBRA Factory automatically tracks. Automatic alerts can also be set up to let managers know when important deadlines are forthcoming.

All of COBRA Factory's logic is based on the most recent COBRA law. COBRA Factory is available to existing BeneTrac clients beginning at $75 per month for businesses with up to 500 employees. There are no additional implementation costs, and the service can be ordered at any time.
